Topic / Subject : What type of rock is this?

Message :

I found this rock and I have no idea what it is.It is about the size of an avocado and shaped like one too.It feels heavier than a rock its size.It has very strange patterns on it which does not seem carved. It seems naturally formed. The rock is smooth with no sharpness to it.It does not attract magnets. The rocks outer layer is dark gray almost black on one side and the under side is reddish brown where it rested on the ground.I've been doing a little research online and the closest material it resembles is fossilized dinosaur droppings. There is something about this rock. Its very unusual.I can e-mail pics.I appreciate any feed back or suggestions on how I can properly identify this find.Thank You!
