A very beautiful, natural, unheated, untreated Sri Lankan rich Pink Sapphire.
This is a 100% natural, unheated, untreated cushion cut Sri Lankan Pink Sapphire weighing 1.50 ct. and measuring 7.2 mm. X 5.4 mm. The stone is a beautiful rich pink. It is really difficult to find an untreated Pink Sapphire of this high quality. The gem may have been coconut shell fire low temperature blow heated which is the traditional way in Sri Lanka of removing impurities during processing of gem material. It does not alter colour. I do not consider it a heat treatment. Green sourced gem.
