A very beautiful Pink Sapphire.
This 100% natural, unheated, untreated oval Sri Lankan Pink Sapphire is very attractive; a beautiful rich pink. The stone weighs 1.50 ct. and measures 6.5 mm. X 5.4 mm. This gem may have been coconut shell fire low temperature blow heated which is the traditional way in Sri Lanka of removing impurities during processing of gem material. It does not alter colour. I do not consider it a heat treatment. Green sourced gem.
